Moldovan Communists willing to cooperate with pro-European parties

Chisinau, 15 December /MOLDPRES/- The Party of Communists (PCRM) is willing to cooperate with the pro-European parties, which made it to the parliament following the 30 November polls. The decision was taken within a yesterday's plenary meeting of the central committee.
"The political executive has to start consultations with the parties elected in the parliament on issues related to statehood, integrity, sovereignty of Moldova, as well as to execution of electoral platform of our party. It does not mean a coalition. Over 300,000 citizens voted for us. They have the right to be represented", PCRM leader Vladimir Voronin said.
At the same time, it was decided to appoint Artur Resetnicov as executive secretary of the faction, and Violeta Ivanov as head of the PCRM's parliamentary faction, in Maria Postoico's place.
Representatives of the Liberal Democratic Party, Democratic Party and Liberal Party have not commented on the Communists' statements for the time being.
