Chisinau Municipal Council approves Moldovan capital's budget for 2015

Chisinau, 18 December /MOLDPRES/ - The Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) approved a draft on capital’s budget for 2015 in first reading at a today meeting. The document got 45 pros of the councillors.

The bill stipulates incomes amounting to 2.839 billion lei and expenditures worth 3.138 billion lei. The budgetary deficit is about 300 million lei. The project’s authors propose to cover the budgetary deficit from means got from the sale or privatisation of public assets and foreign financing sources.

Unlike the 2014 budget, in 2015, the document proposes to increase incomes by four per cent and expenses - by 7.5 per cent. The social expenditures - 59.5 per cent - represent the major quota of all the expenses. They are followed by the economic spending with 23.2 per cent. Under the draft budget, about 375 million lei is to be earmarked for investment programmes and capital reparations in 2015.  

The budget was approved in first reading after the municipal councilors had failed to do this several times before. The draft is to be approved in the second reading too.
