Denmark ratifies Moldova-EU Association Agreement

Chisinau, 19 December /MOLDPRES/ - Denmark is the 12th country to ratify the Association Agreement between Moldova and the European Union.
On 18 December, Danish Foreign Minister Martin Lidegaard wrote on his personal webpage on social networking that "he is quite happy that Denmark has just ratified the Association Agreement between EU and Moldova, Ukraine and Georgia."
"This is an important step for a closer cooperation," Lidegaard said.
So far, the document has been ratified by Romania, Latvia, Malta, Estonia, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Hungary, Sweden, Croatia and Poland.
The Moldova-European Union Association Agreement was signed on 27 June 2014, and the Moldovan parliament ratified it on 2 July. All EU member states are to carry out the concerned procedure.
