Moldova, France, Germany to make co-production short film

Chisinau, 20 December /MOLDPRES/ - A Moldovan-Franco-German co-production will be filmed in Moldova.

French Ambassador to Moldova Pascal Vagogne presented a draft project for the short film at a meeting with Acting Culture Minister Monica Babuc on 19 December.

The agenda of the meeting with the French official included more topics on cooperation in the cinematography sector. Ambassador Pascal Vagogne showed openness to provide French experts’ assistance in creating the National Centre of Cinematography and carrying out co-productions.

According to the Culture Ministry’s information and media communication service, Pascal Vagogne also unveiled a cultural cooperation project between the French Alliance and Moldova for 2015-2020 was presented during the meeting.

Monica Babuc welcomed the deepening of the Moldovan-French ties, stressing that the involvement of the Culture Ministry in events promoting Francophonie was an element that would emphasise the importance of promoting French language and culture in the Moldovan society. The acting culture minister advocated deepening mobility for Moldovan people of culture, beginning with  training managers in writing projects and accessing European funds and ending with internship opportunities for artists in France.

A special topic of discussion was focused on Moldova joining the programme titled "Creative Europe". The sides stressed that this was a crucial time for establishing new connections between French and Moldovan culture people.
