"I also studied abroad, and also worked abroad, but I returned home and do not regret. I want you to return home with all my heart and soul, yet till then, you are welcome to contribute to the country's development from where you are," Iurie Leanca told the young persons who came back from Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain or Turkey, where they study, to get their prizes. As many as 147 students and alumni from 26 countries have submitted their files for this contest in all.
Before handing over the prize to student Mircea Ene, Iurie Leanca said that he had been impressed by the latter's CV and motivation letter.
"In his motivation letter, Mircea says that architecture represents the physical manifestation of a country from the economic and cultural viewpoint. And in the end he said that, via architecture, we have the chance to change the society, and we keep looking for solutions on how to change the society of Moldova. Mircea has given the answer. For the final work, I would propose you a subject, "How should the architecture of a modern capital and country look like." I would propose Mircea the position of chief architect of Moldova, but till then, we invite him, as early as now, to think about a plan of Chisinau's general development, with a system approach," the acting prime minister said.
Iurie Leanca also received a prize of the Gala of Moldova-born Students. The initiative came from the first laureates of the contest. The acting prime minister thanked the young people for the initiative, as well as for their involvement in diverse projects carried out in Moldova, especially social ones.
