Moldovan drivers of high tonnage trucks urged to avoid Moldova-Romania border checkpoint

Chisinau, 29 December /MOLDPRES/ - Border policemen urge drivers of the transport units, the weight of which exceeds 3.5 tons, to avoid the Leuseni-Albita border checkpoint, as a road segment, Albita-Crasna, is restricted on the Romanian side.

According to the border police, no serious incidents, triggered by the bad weather, have been recorded so far, with some exceptions.

At the same time, over 322,000 border crossings were registered last week, that is by ten percent more against the week before.

To avoid the formation queues of people and transport, as well as to shorten the waiting time at the border control, the number of inspectors checking the documents, both at entries and exits, was increased starting from 15 December.
