Romania to provide additional funds for modernising Moldovan kindergartens

Chisinau, 30 December /MOLDPRES/ - Romania will supplement by 5 million euros the support provided for modernising Moldovan kindergartens. The cabinet approved an additional document to this effect today, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.

As many as 790 kindergartens will be modernised with Romania’s assistance in all , of which 670 will be repaired and the rest will be endowed with furniture. In most cases, the contracted works will be completed next spring. The kindergartens which demanded endowment with furniture and playgrounds, began to to receive goods starting from 15 September 2014.

The Moldovan and Romanian governments signed an agreement on implementation of a programme on technical and financial assistance in April 2010, on the basis of a 100-million-euros-worth non-refundable financial aid provided to Moldova by Romania.
