All national roads from southern Moldova passable

Chisinau, 30 December /MOLDPRES/ - All Moldovan national roads are passable and the road segments from south, on which the traffic was closed because of last night blizzard, have been already unblocked, the Transports and Road Infrastructure Ministry has reported.

The access to more settlements from the southern districts of Cahul, Cantemir, Comrat, Stefan Voda, Taraclia, Cimislia got back to normal.

Due to the last night blizzard, the traffic was restricted on some segments of the following routes: Chisinau – Cimislia – Comrat - Vulcanesti – Giurgiulesti; Ceadir-Lunga - Comrat – Cantemir; Vulcanesti – Cahul – Taraclia, Tudora – Palanca – border with Ukraine. 

At the same time, the Border Police informed that, at present, all Moldovan-Romanian border checkpoints were working as normal, whereas eight checkpoints at the Moldovan-Ukrainian border ceased their work.

According to the State Hydro-meteorological Service, snowfall is expected in the end of this week.
