Traffic restricted on some Moldovan road segments

Chisinau, 31 December /MOLDPRES/- The traffic remains difficult on some road segments because of snow.

According to the Transport and Road Infrastructure Ministry (MTID), it is about some road segments of the following highways: Chisinau-Cimislia-Comrat-Vulcanesti-Giurgiulesti, Tudora-Palanca- border with Ukraine, villages Cairaclia (Taraclia district), Samalia, Tolica, Boboica, Craciun (Cantemir), Marianca de Jos (Stefan Voda).

A number of 361 road-men and 134 special vehicles have been involved in works to widen roadways on segments hit by snowdrifts.

MTID assured that all road maintenance enterprises continued to operate in a non-stop regime and, if needed, carried out works to clear snow and combat glazed frost.
