Two Moldovan-Ukrainian border checkpoints temporarily closed

Chisinau, 2 January /MOLDPRES/ - Two Moldovan-Ukrainian border checkpoints, Cismichioi-Dolinskoie and Vulcanesti-Vinogradovka are closed, because certain road segments are blocked on the Ukrainian side. All border checkpoints at the frontier with Romania work as normal.

Data by the Border Police shows that, over the last 24 hours, a decrease in the flow of people both entering and leaving Moldova has been recorded at the border checkpoints, over the bad weather conditions. Thus, about 11,400 border crossings of persons and approximately 2,200 of transport units were registered.

Also, following an exchange of information with national and international law-enforcement bodies, five wanted persons have been detained at border checkpoints.
