Moldovan president signs condolence book for Charlie Hebdo victims at French embassy in Chisinau

Chisinau, 12 January /MOLDPRES/ - President Nicolae Timofti signed the condolence book, in homage to the victims of the terrorist acts from Paris, at the Chisinau-based French Embassy today, the presidency's press service has reported.
The president conveyed sincere condolences on behalf of the Moldovan people to the French citizens, affected by the tragic events.
President Nicolae Timofti condemned the terrorist actions and expressed solidarity with the international community mobilised to fight terrorism. "The values of democracy cannot be negotiated," said Nicolae Timofti.
French Ambassador to Moldova Pascal Vagogne thanked the president for his support message to the French people.
The president was accompanied at the French Embassy by Secretary General of the Presidential Office Ion Paduraru, as well as presidential advisers Vlad Turcanu and Iulian Grigorita.
President Nicolae Timofti has earlier sent a message of condolence to his French counterpart Francois Hollande.
