Chisinau, 13 January /MOLDPRES/- The Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) and the Democratic Party (PDM) opt for extending the format of negotiations on creation of a ruling coalition. This would imply starting talks with representatives of the Party of Communists (PCRM).
The stances were expressed after a new round of negotiations between PLDM, PDM and Liberal Party (PL) late on 12 January. After the talks, PL first deputy leader Dorin Chirtoaca refused to make statements for press.
PDM leader Marian Lupu said the negotiations held so far had failed, and it was necessary to the extend the format of talks by inviting PCRM to the talks. "I mean a platform of negotiations and not separated discussions", he noted. Lupu added that PL insisted that all three state positions should be shared, - an opinion which was not shared by other participants in the talks.
PLDM leader Vlad Filat was of the same opinion. He said "the negotiations got into a blockage and a dialogue with PCRM must be launched. I would like to have a meeting in four. All the parties have to participate in these talks. We continue the negotiations with PDM and PL, but a dialogue with PCRM is needed too".
PCRM has earlier been willing to participate in talks with the pro-European parties.
