Chisinau, 14 January /MOLDPRES/- A new round of negotiations between the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM), Democratic Party (PDM) and Liberal Party (PL) concluded with no significant progress on 13 January.
After the meeting, PDM leader Marian Lupu said the situation remained unchanged. "Results are zero, nothing has changed. No one has reviewed positions with anything. We have counted days", Lupu said.
PL leader Mihai Ghimpu pointed out that the results of talks "are zero". He said the Liberals wanted depoliticisation of prosecution, and the position of general prosecutor should belong to a foreign citizen. Ghimpu also said the discussions between PLDM, PDM and Party of Communists (PCRM) disturbed Liberals, but did not scare them.
PLDM leader Vlad Filat said the talks between the sides involved in negotiations were contradictory. At the same time, Filat voiced confidence that a compromise would be identified.
The negotiations will continue today.
