Moldovan acting premier chairs meeting of governmental commission for European integration

Chisinau, 15 January /MOLDPRES/ - Acting Prime Minister Iurie Leanca chaired a meeting of the Governmental Commission for European Integration on 14 January. The commission’s representatives unveiled the achievements gained in the European integration area in 2014 and set the main objectives for 2015, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.
Thus, Iurie Leanca asked the Agriculture and Food Industry Ministry to provide farmers with the needed assistance, in order to fully benefit from the liberalisation of the market with the European Union. „The access to the European market will provide both economic agents and national economy with a new development potential,” Leanca said.
Leanca also referred to the need to prepare the first meeting of the Moldova – European Union Association Committee, due in early 2015.
At the same time, Iurie Leanca requested the above-mentioned commission’s members to mobilise for the Riga Summit, due in next May.
Acting Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Natalia Gherman and Acting Deputy Prime Minister, Economics Minister Andrian Candu reported on the carrying out of the National Plan on Implementation of the 2014-2016 Association Agreement in 2014.
