Moldovan parliament to convene extraordinary session on 21 January

Chisinau, 20 January /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament will convene a special session starting from 21 January at 15:00, the parliament's communication and public relations department has reported.
The request was signed by a group of MPs from the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) and Democratic Party (PD) factions. The session will take place on 21 - 30 January.
The MPs propose the following agenda for the meeting due on 21 January: setting up a commission for the election of the parliament speaker, election of the speaker and deputy speakers of the parliament, creating of the Standing Bureau and establishing the standing committees.
The request to convene an extraordinary session of the parliament was registered at the Parliament's Chancellery today and is be distributed to all parliamentary factions.
According to article 37 of the Parliament's Regulation, if the parliament is not in ordinary session, it may hold an extraordinary or special session, at a request by the president of Moldova, parliament speaker or one third of the lawmakers.
