Chisinau, 21 January /MOLDPRES/ - The leader of the Democratic Party of Moldova (PDM), Marian Lupu, today said there were two possibilities to form a ruling coalition: a political alliance between the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM), Liberal Party (PL) and PDM or an alliance between the PLDM and PD. Lupu made the statement after a today meeting with the leaders of the Liberal Democrats and Liberals.
"I would like to say that no progress has been recorded after this round of negotiations. In continuation, I ascertain a blockage in the dialogue. Given this situation, I call on PLDM colleagues to form a PLDM - PDM coalition and assume the governance in Moldova," said Marian Lupu.
PLDM, PL and PDM representatives also met this morning. The parliament holds a meeting at 15:00. The MPs will try to elect the parliament speaker and deputy speakers, set up the Standing Bureau and the permanent committees.
