Moldovan parliament sets up standing bureau

Chisinau, 23 January /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament set up its Standing Bureau at the today's meeting. It will have 12 members.
The Standing Bureau will be made up of: Socialists Igor Dodon and Zinaida Greceanii, Liberal Democrats Vlad Filat and Valeriu Strelet, Communists Artur Resetnicov and Violeta Ivanov, Democrats Marian Lupu and Vlad Plahotniuc. The Liberal Party has not yet submitted its candidate for the Bureau.
According to the Parliament Regulation, the Standing Bureau is a working body of the parliament and is formed taking into consideration the proportional representation of the factions in the parliament. Likewise, the parliament speaker and deputy parliament speakers are also members of the Standing Bureau ex officio.
The today's meeting of the parliament was closed. Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu said the Standing Bureau will meet next week to set a new parliament meeting within the extraordinary session which ends on 30 January. The standing commissions will be set up at the next meeting.
