New issue of Made in Moldova national exhibition inaugurated in Chisinau

Chisinau, 28 January /MOLDPRES/ - The 14th issue of the Made in Moldova national exhibition was inaugurated at the Moldexpo international exhibition centre today. The event is held under the slogan “Competitiveness – Performance and Quality”. The exhibition is organised by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) and will last till 1 February.
Attending the inauguration, CCI head Valeriu Lazar informed that about 260 producers from the two banks of Dniester, including 14 district councils, participated in the event with their own stands.
Lazar also said that, simultaneously with the above-mentioned exhibition, a large-scale business forum, including round tables and seminars, which would provide local entrepreneurs with the possibility to discuss the opportunities offered by the Free Trade Agreement with the European Union, would be organised. A presentation of the investments opportunities in the Black Sea region will also take place, with the participation of business people and development institutions from Moldova, Romania, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Turkey and Russia. The event will be organised in the context of the chairmanship of the Business Council of the Organisation of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation, held by CCI, Lazar said.
The head of the Moldovan Academy of Sciences, Gheorghe Duca, welcomed the participants in the exhibition and emphasised that “Made in Moldova” was the most important brand that contributed to promoting the Moldovan products both on the local and foreign markets.
For his part, Deputy Economics Minister Tudor Copaci said the present event provided the economic agents with possibility to present their products and services, as well as to set new cooperation ties. During the event, the Economics Ministry, along with its specialised structures, will organise a string of presentations of the trade regime of Moldova with the partner countries, impact of the quality of infrastructure on the competitiveness of enterprises and energy efficiency tools made available to entrepreneurs, Copaci said.
For the first time ever, during the exhibition, the National Office for Vine and Wine organised a joint stand of Moldovan wine-making companies under the wine-making brand “Wine of Moldova. A true legend”. Visitors will familiarise with and purchase at special prices products of 15 Moldovan wineries and 6 producers of brandy.
