OSCE representatives meet members of Electoral Commission of Southern Moldovan region

Chisinau, 28 January /MOLDPRES/ - Representatives of the OSCE Mission in Moldova Juhan Kahk and Hartmut Rank met members of the Electoral Commission of the Administrative Territorial Unit (UTA) Gagauz-Yeri in Comrat town, southern Moldova, on 27 January.

The officials were informed about the process of organising and carrying out the elections of the Gagauz bashkan (governor).

The head of the above-mentioned commission, Valentin Cara, said the preparations for the electoral campaign were carried out without infringements. „On 30 January, the commission will hold a meeting, and till then all documents will be checked and all candidates for the post of Gagauz governor will be known. Till 19 February, all initiative groups have to present the lists with signatures,” Cara added, cited by the webpage Gagauzinfo.md.
