About 360,000 Moldovans travel to EU after visa liberalization

Chisinau, 29 January /MOLDPRES/ - About 360,000 Moldovans holding bio-metric passports have traveled to the European Union in nine months of Moldova enjoying the visa free regime with EU.
According to the Border Police, most Moldovans chose to cross the border through the Leuseni checkpoint, followed by Cahul and Chisinau International Airport.
So far, 277 Moldovan citizens holders of bio-metric passports, have not been allowed to enter the European Union, on grounds of failing to meet the conditions for entering EU. Similarly, 124 Moldovans were expelled from the Union.
Moldova has been enjoying visa free regime with EU countries as of 28 April 2014. Visas for short trips were cancelled for Moldovan citizens holding bio-metric passports.
