Moldovan acting prime minister begins consultations on future government's agenda

Chisinau, 30 January /MOLDPRES/ - Acting Prime Minister Iurie Leanca started consultations in the process of drafting the future government’s new programme of activity, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.
The prime minister also discussed with the main investors associations in Moldova - active members of the Economic Council launched by Iurie Leanca: the Foreign Investors Association, European Business Association and American Chamber of Commerce in Moldova. During the consultations, the representatives of associations highlighted more problems larger investors faced in Moldova.
Iurie Leanca will hold consultations with representatives of trade unions, employers, National Council for Participation (CNP), the National Council of NGOs and other civil society representatives as well as political experts on 31 January.
President Nicolae Timofti designated Iurie Leanca as candidate for the office of prime minister on 28 January. Iurie Leanca must present the future government’s programme and the team that will form the Cabinet to the parliament within 15 days. Subsequently, he must obtain the majority vote of MPs to be appointed prime minister.
