Moldovan Foreign Ministry denies information on possible ban for Ilan Shor

Chisinau, 6 February /MOLDPRES/ - The Foreign and European Integration Ministry of (MAEIE) denies the information published in some media and social media outlets, according to which they requested the Russian authorities to offer information on the possible ban on Moldovan citizen Ilan Shor to enter Russia, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.

A press release by the institution states that MAEIE "did not contact the Russian authorities in this case, since it did not receive such a request from the concerned person".

According to the procedure, Moldovan citizens who intend to find out the reason for their prohibition to enter the territory of another state must submit a request to that effect addressed to the Department of Consular Affairs within the Foreign Ministry. Subsequently, on its basis, MAEIE requests information from the competent authorities of the respective state.
