Chisinau, 9 February /MOLDPRES/ - The confidence vote for the action programme and full list of the Leanca government is to be given at the first parliament plenary meeting of the spring-summer session due on 12 February. Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu made statements to this effect after a today meeting of the parliament’s Standing Bureau.
Andrian Candu said that the day when the meeting was to be held had been set upon a request by Prime Minister-designate Iurie Leanca. ”This is the measure by the prime minister-designate. They still work on the action programme and list of cabinet members. He has every right to request this. The term is legal,” Candu said.
Meanwhile, Iurie Leanca is to continue talks with the Liberal and Communist MPs, in order to persuade them to back the new cabinet of ministers. Liberal lawmaker Valeriu Munteanu today said the formation had not yet received any request regarding a new meeting with Leanca.
Iurie Leanca was nominated as candidate for the office of prime minister on 28 January. He has a delay of 15 days for requesting the confidence vote of the parliament on the action programme and full list of the government. The deadline expires on 12 February.
