Moldovan premier-designate presents nominal composition of new government

Chisinau, 12 February /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister-designate Iurie Leanca presented the nominal composition of the future government at the parliament meeting today.
According to Leanca, the future Cabinet will include 10 new ministers. Thus, the head of the Economics Ministry will be Christophe Stephane Bride, Moldovan citizen of French origin. The Construction and Regional Development Ministry will be led by Vasile Bitca, former head of the Nisporeni district, and the Youth and Sports Ministry by Sergei Afanasenco, the coach of the Paralympic team of Moldova. At the same time, the candidacy of Ruxanda Glavan was put forward for the office of labour, social protection and family minister. She currently serves as deputy minister at the aforementioned ministry.
Vladimir Grosu is proposed as justice minister, currently a deputy minister in the same ministry. Mircea Buga, the director of the National Health Insurance Company, is proposed for the health minister office and Deputy Secretary General of the Government Sergiu Palihovici is to act as environment minister. The Agriculture and Food Industry Ministry is to be led by Ion Sula, currently the director of the National Agency for Food Safety; the Interior Ministry - Oleg Balan, the rector of the Academy of Public Administration and the Defense Ministry - by political analyst Viorel Cibotaru.
A number of six ministers from the Leanca government will keep their posts. It is about Culture Minister Monica Babuc, Information Technology and Communications Minister Pavel Filip, Transport and Roads Infrastructure Minister Vasile Botnari. At the same time, Prime Minister-designate Iurie Leanca proposed that Natalia Gherman remained foreign and European integration minister and Anatol Arapu continued to be finance minister. Maia Sandu would also keep her seat at the Education Ministry.
The office of deputy prime minister for reintegration would be given to Victor Osipov. Another two offices of deputy prime minister will be held by Natalia Gherman and Stephane Christophe Bride.
The vote of at least 51 MPs is needed to elect a new government.
