Chisinau, 13 February /MOLDPRES/ - The Joint Control Commission (JCC) held an ordinary session on 12 February. The sides approved a string of reports by the Joint Military Command, the Bureau for Reintegration has reported.
As for the cases of denying military observers’ access to document incidents occurred in the Security Zone between 18 June 2014 and 27 January 2015, the sides reiterated the need for the Joint Military Command to conduct a thorough examination of the issues involved. The participants in the meeting agreed that the sides will present proposals on actions required to be taken to stabilise the situation at the Commission’s meeting due on 26 February 2015.
In the context of discussing issues on ensuring free movement through the Security Zone, the Moldovan delegation proposed that the Commission properly assesses the development of the situation and presents its vision on the text of the final decisions on this subject. The Moldovan delegation’s proposals relate directly to not allowing setting up mobile stations and consolidating the present infrastructure without the consent of the Commission and the Joint Military Command.
The Moldovan delegation also called on other delegations, with a request to help identify a viable solution to remove obstacles to free movement. Contradictory discussions showed, however, that delegations have diverging opinions and failed to get a consolidated vision.
Consultations on these issues will continue at the next meeting of the Commission.
