Moldovan prime minister-designate describes talks with Communists as constructive

Chisinau, 16 February /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister-designate Chiril Gaburici today met members of the Party of Communists (PCRM), with whom he discussed the future government’s action programme and composition.
PCRM leader Vladimir Voronin said the Communist MPs submitted certain proposals for the government’s action programme. "Chiril Gaburici realises what a crucial moment this is for our country and takes on the responsibility to run for the office of premier. We will be very constructive when the new Cabinet of Ministers is proposed for voting in the parliament, "said Voronin.
Chiril Gaburici said the discussions with PCRM were constructive and focused on the actions to be taken to "get the country out deadlock." "There is a list of proposals and ideas that would improve the situation in the country. We will discuss and introduce them in the action programme", said Gaburici.
Prime Minister-designate Chiril Gaburici today talked with representatives of the Academy of Sciences, trade unions and employers. as well as the leader of the Liberal Party, Mihai Ghimpu. Gaburici was nominated as candidate for prime minister on 14 February, after the Leanca government II had failed to get a vote of confidence. Chiril Gaburici will request the vote of confidence on the activity programme and full list of cabinet members within 15 days after his designation.
