Chisinau, 17 February /MOLDPRES/ - The Democrat Party (PDM) MPs will vote for the swearing in office of the new government. PDM leader Marian Lupu made statements to this effect after a today meeting with Prime Minister-designate Chiril Gaburici.
Lupu said the officials addressed the economic and social situation, foreign policy, ties with development partners and implementation of the Moldova-European Union Association Agreement.
Gaburici said that he intended to meet persons forwarded for the ministerial offices today. Gaburici added that, following these meetings, the government’s action programme and nominal list would be given the final touches. Chiril Gaburici said that he would request the parliament’s vote of confidence for the cabinet's action programme and full list on the days to come.
Gaburici added that he had met more ambassadors accredited to Moldova. ”I set forth my priorities for the next period, one of which is the pro-European path and observance of all commitments stipulated by the Agreement signed with EU,” Gaburici said.
Chiril Gaburici started the talks on setting up the new government on 16 February. He met representatives of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, Liberal and Communist MPs, representatives of trade unions and employers’ unions. Gaburici was nominated for the prime minister office on 14 February, after the Leanca II government had failed to get a vote of confidence.
