Moldovan prime minister-designate to ask for vote of confidence in parliament on 18 february

Chisinau, 17 February /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister-designate Chiril Gaburici will ask for the vote of confidence on the action programme and full list of the government members in the parliament on 18 February. The Standing Bureau of the parliament took a decision to this effect today.

This will be the second attempt by the parliament to elect a new government, after the second Leanca government failed to get the needed number of votes on 12 February.

Chiril Gaburici was nominated as candidate for prime minister on 14 February. The prime minister-designate has so far held consultation on the creation of a new government with representatives of the Academy of Sciences, Liberal, Democratic and Communist MPs, trade union, employers and civil society representatives.
