Chisinau hosts international wine industry specialised exhibition

Chisinau, 18 February /MOLDPRES/ - The 24th issue of the EXPOVIN Moldova 2015 international specialised exhibition of wine industry was inaugurated at the Moldexpo international exhibition centre today. The event is organised by Poliproject Exhibitions Ltd and will last till 21 February.

About 100 companies from Moldova, Romania, Ukraine, Italy, France, Spain, Austria, Germany, Portugal, Bulgaria, Sweden and Hungary exhibited their products.

Poliproject Exhibitions Ltd Director Marina Tiron said that the event was very important for Moldova’s economy, not only for developing vine-growing and wine-making sectors of Moldova, but also for expanding cooperation between the local producers and foreign business partners. "This exhibition will provide the area specialists and consumers with a comprehensive image of the Moldovan wine, alcoholic beverages, as well as of the equipment for the wine-making industry," Tiron said.

Among the local companies participating in the event, there are: Cricova Wine Company, Calarasi Divin, Barza Alba, Aroma, Bardar Winery, etc.

The winners of the 24th issue of the CHISINAU WINES & SPIRITS CONTEST 2015, held in the Moldovan capital on 14-15 February, will be awarded today. Moldovan wine producers and another 14 from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Russia, Belarus, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Cyprus, Germany, Switzerland, Hungary, Slovenia and Spain participated in the contest.
