National plan of legislation approximation approved in Moldova

Chisinau, 19 February /MOLDPRES/ - The government approved the National Plan on Approximation of Legislation for 2015 during the first meeting after the investiture today, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.

The decision provides for an adjustment of 96 national acts to the requirements of the EU acquis and Moldova - European Union Association Agreement, of which 62 are new drafts and 34 amending acts. The document includes 13 priority areas: commercial companies, financial services, taxation, agriculture and rural development, energy sector cooperation, consumer protection, intellectual property rights, competition, environmental protection, public health, information society, trade and trade-related matters, employment, social policy and equal opportunities, transport, statistics, security and justice.

The Centre for Legal Approximation at the Justice Ministry will coordinate the plan’s implementation process.
