Chisinau, 20 February /MOLDPRES/ - The Civil Protection and Emergency Situations Service will receive 23 modern trucks. Moldova will borrow six million euros from an Austrian bank in order to purchase the vehicles. The parliament ratified an agreement to this effect today.
Deputy Interior Minister Serghei Diaconu said the vehicles would be distributed to settlements which do not have modern equipment to intervene in emergency situations. The loan will be provided for a 21-year period.
Also today, the parliament approved, in the first reading, a draft law on ratification of the agreement on Moldova’s participation in the EU programme for the Competitiveness of Enterprises Small and Medium Enterprises (COSME 2014-2020)”.
