Chisinau to host meeting of BSEC Parliamentary Assembly

Chisinau, 23 February /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Natalia Gherman today had a meeting with Secretary General of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Parliamentary Assembly (BSEC PA) Asaf Hajyev, on a working visit to Moldova on 23-24 February, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry's (MAEIE) information and media communication service has reported.   

At the meeting, the officials discussed priority actions and the schedule of events planned for the period of Moldova's chairmanship at the Organization, both on governmental dimension and the parliamentary one. Gherman and Hajyev reviewed the principal sectoral events, especially in the tourism, health, transport and trade fields.

Minister Natalia Gherman, who also holds the chairmanship of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the BSEC member states, highlighted the need to pay increased attention to projects concerning the transport and energy infrastructures, in order to strengthen the cooperation in the Black Sea region and contribute to citizens' well-being.  

The sides exchanged opinions on the preparation of a plenary meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation, due in Chisinau on 8-9 June 2015.
