Moldovan parliament speaker meets BSEC PA secretary-general

Chisinau, 23 February /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu today had a meeting with Secretary-General of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Parliamentary Assembly (BSEC PA) Asaf Hajyev, on a visit to Chisinau, in the context of Moldova taking over the BSEC PA chairmanship, the parliament's communication and public relations department has reported. 

Asaf Hajyev informed the parliament speaker about the agenda of BSEC PA activities for the next period. Also, the officials considered a string of technical aspects concerning the organisation of the 45th session of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Parliamentary Assembly, due in Chisinau on 8-10 June 2015.

Andrian Candu and Asaf Hajyev also tackled the organisation and work of BSEC PA, including the status of the Assembly and procedure of electing the deputy presidents. In the context, Asaf Hajyev asked for the support of Speaker Candu to strengthen the status of BSEC PA, as well as for the creation of the Moldovan parliament's delegation at BSEC PA.

The speaker stressed that the Moldovan parliament would take efforts both to ensure the good work of BSEC PA and achieve the goals set by Moldova during its chairmanship at this international forum. At the same time, Andrian Candu have assurances that the Moldovan parliament's delegation to BSEC PA was to be set up in the nearest future.
