Chisinau, 24 February /MOLDPRES/ - The Constitutional Court validated the mandates of 12 MPs on 23 February. The lawmakers will fill up the posts of MPs who gave up their mandates due to incompatible offices.
Thus, the Liberal Democratic Party will be represented in the parliament by four new lawmakers, namely Gota Aliona, Stirbate Petru, Ciobanu Maria and Balan Ion. Another four new MPs, Gretu Efrosinia, Nichiforciuc Eugeniu, Molozea Nicolae and Andronache Vladimir, will be part of the Democratic Party’s faction.
As to the Liberal Party, Mihaelei Iacob, Casian Ion and Cernat Vladimir are the ones who got the MP mandates. The Constitutional Court also validated Elena Gudumac’s mandate of lawmaker on behalf of the Party of Communists.
The court’s decision was taken after the parliament accepted the dismissal of 12 MPs last week. Five of these opted for the offices they had been holding before the electoral campaign, whereas another seven became ministers in the Gaburici cabinet.
