Bomb threats in Chisinau prove to be hoax

Chisinau, 24 February /MOLDPRES/ - The bomb threats recorded at four commercial banks from Chisinau today have proved to be hoax.

The head of the press service of the Chisinau municipality's Police Department, Adrian Jovmir, told MOLDPRES that the police had been alerted by employees of banks' guard services. The guard employees said they had received e-mail messages on alleged mining of four banks. The first call on bomb threat regarding two banks was received by the police at about 9:30. Another two calls were recorded at 10:40 and 11:00.

The banks' employees were evacuated, and sappers went to the site, and discovered no suspect object. Law-enforcers investigate the cases. It is still unknown whether all the threats were made by the same person.
