Prince of Romania visits Moldovan military academy

Chisinau, 25 February /MOLDPRES/ - Prince Radu of Romania, on an official visit to Moldova, visited the Alexandru cel Bun Military Academy of Armed Forces on 24 February. He met the institution’s teachers and students.

When meeting Defence Minister Viorel Cibotaru, the officials exchanged views about organising the vocational training of future officers, implementing modern education programmes and geo-political evolutions in the region.

In the context, Prince Radu proposed to initiate cooperation with the mentioned academy, by supporting lectures on modern security and defence topics both in Chisinau and Bucharest. „I believe that a string of meetings with students and military staff would be nice,” Prince Radu said.

Prince Radu, who was also accompanied by Prince Nicolae of Romania, got familiarised with the academy’s infrastructure, chairs and linguistic centre.

Prince Radu is Romanian Army reserve colonel and doctor in military sciences.
