Moldovan pro-European parties' leaders meet Romanian president

Chisinau, 25 February /MOLDPRES/ - Romanian President Klaus Iohannis met the leaders of the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM), Democratic Party (PDM) and Liberal Party (PL) today.
PLDM leader Vlad Filat said that the officials discussed the situation in Moldova, bilateral ties and Moldova’s European integration process. „It was a sincere talk, by which President Klaus Iohannis proved that he is familiarised with what happens and what he is to do, so that the help for us yields results. We need friends, we will not manage alone,” Filat said.
PDM leader Marian Lupu described as constructive the talks held with Iohannis. „The Romanian president voiced support Moldova will be able to benefit from in the context of reforms and transformations we to set to implement,” Lupu said.
Liberals’ leader Mihai Ghimpu also described as constructive the discussion with Klaus Iohannis. Ghimpu said the sides broached the political situation in Moldova.
Klaus Iohannis paid a two-day visit to Moldova. The official also met President Nicolae Timofti, Speaker Andrian Candu and Prime Minister Chiril Gaburici.
