Chisinau, 25 February /MOLDPRES/ - The budget of the Transnistrian breakaway republic has failed to get about 40 per cent of the revenues in January-February 2015. The main reason is a decrease in the production of the region's industrial enterprises, according to electronic sources.
A press release says that, since early 2015, the industrial out of the breakaway region has dropped by 18 per cent against the same period of 2014. Decreases were recorded in the work of over 40 economic agents, which represents more than a half from the great enterprises of the region. The phenomenon is specific also for the foreign economic relations. Thus, in the first two months of 2015, the export decreased by 20 per cent and the import - by 25 per cent.
"These indexes influence the figure of the revenues to the region's budget. Thus, since early 2015 till 24 February, the region registered only a 60-per cent level of revenues. If the situation does not change, forecasts show that, till the end of 2015, the budget of the breakaway Transnistrian republic will lose about one billion Transnistrian roubles (over 90 million dollars), planed to cover the important social needs," the communique says.
Industrial enterprises which export, including to Russia - the metallurgical plant and the cement mill from Ribnita, Moldavizolit, etc. - are facing quite big difficulties at present.
