Chisinau, 26 February /MOLDPRES/ - The leader of the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM), Vlad Filat described the decision of ex-Prime Minister Iurie Leanca to leave the party as regrettable. Filat made statement to this effect today.
Filat said that, from political viewpoint, Leanca’s decision "is not a correct one" and that "there is no reason to reproach something with the party".
“As to the statements of betrayal of the pro-European path and vote, it is a lie. The continuation of the European path and implementation of the Association Agreement are the existential aim of the Liberal Democratic Party – Democratic Party alliance and of the government,” Filat added.
Today, Iurie Leanca announced that he quits PLDM and will initiate a new political project.
