Moldovan PM meets Georgian counterpart

Chisinau, 26 February /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Chiril Gaburici today met his Georgian counterpart, Irakli Garibashvili, in Brussels, the government's communication and media relations department has reported.
The two premiers approached more issues on the bilateral agenda, as well as those on cooperation between Moldova and Georgia at international level. In the context, they highlighted the importance of continuous development of the Moldovan-Georgian ties, as well as the importance of exchange of experience in the European integration process, especially, cooperation within the Eastern Partnership, part of which are Moldova and Georgia.
Gaburici said Georgia's experience in carrying out reforms in the justice, interior affairs and customs sector was very important for Moldova, and opted for deepening the collaboration. At the same time, he expressed interest in exchange of experience on the practices used by Georgia in promoting export and drawing investments.
The sides expressed their interest in starting the activity of the Moldovan-Georgian intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation. Also, they discussed the organisation of national exhibitions of goods, as well as development of cooperation in culture and tourism. Moldova and Georgia have signed 22 agreements so far.
