Moldovan premier visits modernised health centre in central district

Chisinau, 28 February /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Chiril Gaburici paid a visit to the biggest rural hospital in Moldova – Health Centre in Caprineni village, central Hincesti district, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.

 

Recently, two units, namely the therapy and paediatrics, as well as the pharmacy of the centre have been renovated. The institution’s modernisation was possible due to funds earmarked from the district budget, in amount of 1 million lei, and state budget of 1.5 million.

 

Sixteen doctors and 55 nurses work at the health centre. Chiril Gaburici discussed with the institution’s staff, as well as with patients who were satisfied with the treatment, as well as with the provided services. The doctors also told Gaburici about their content with the conditions in the restored departments, but they would not stop here. „The renovation should be gotten to an end,” the doctors, together with the hospital director, Mihai Ciobanu specified. In this context, they, together with Health Minister Mircea Buga, as well as local public administration representatives agreed to access more funds, including ones from development partners.

 

„The hospital has a capacity of 110 beds. In 2014, over 3,000 patients were treated in the in-patient unit. As many as 430 surgeries were performed and 215 births were given. The institution’s services are requested a lot and this motivates us to be better, to improve conditions in the hospital - both medical ones and comfort,” Mihai Ciobanu said.

 

Chiril Gaburici praised the work done by the doctors and assistants. „Patients say that they feel here like home. This means that you carry out your duty very devotedly. There is still much to do in order to have better conditions, but the start is nice. You have managed due to that you were united and worked together for a better life, for a healthier Moldova. Either they are from villages or cities, people have to benefit from the same qualitative medical services,” Chiril Gaburici said.

 

Social apartments for young medical specialists have also been built in Carpineni. The dwellings have by three rooms, are modern and will be provided to doctors when concluding a contract of employment for 5 years at least. Mihai Ciobanu said, so far, three doctors, namely a therapist, paediatrician and a surgeon had already announced their intention to come to Carpineni.
