Moldovan foreign minister meets Romanian president

Chisinau, 4 March /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Natalia Gherman today met Romanian President Klaus Iohannis, during her official visit to Bucharest, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.
Minister Natalia Gherman reiterated that Moldova remained firmly committed on the European integration path and noted that the country further relied on Romania’s solid support in this regard.
"The clear messages of support and encouragement of Moldova's European integration, you conveyed during the visit to Chisinau, were highly appreciated both by the authorities, and the citizens," said Natalia Gherman.
For his part, Romanian President Klaus Iohannis reiterated the full support of Romania for Moldova's European path, especially the implementation of the Moldova-EU Association Agreement. "No one doubts the determination of Moldova to advance on its European integration path," said the president, noting that Moldova would be backed politically, economically and financially by the Romanian state to achieve the European objective.
The officials also exchanged opinions on the Transnistrian conflict settlement, in light of assessing the regional situation and the need to boost the bilateral cooperation in security.
