Moldova to borrow over 30 million dollars to modernise health sector

Chisinau, 4 March /MOLDPRES/ - The International Development Association (IDA) will borrow Moldova a loan worth 30.8 million dollars to implement a project titled, "Modernisation of Moldova's health sector." The government today approved a draft law on ratification of a financing agreement to this end.
According to an information note of the draft law, the enforcement of the Agreement will help reduce risks related to non-transmissible diseases and enhance the efficiency of the health services, in particular via strengthening the primary and hospital medical assistance.
The Health Ministry and the National Health Insurances Company will implement the draft during 4.5 years. The loan will be provided for a 25-year period, with a commitment tax of 0.5 per cent, service tax of 0.75 per cent and 1.25-per cent interest.
