Moldovan PM, Azeri ambassador tackle bilateral economic cooperation

Chisinau, 5 March /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Chiril Gaburici has met with Azeri Ambassador to Moldova Namig Hasan oglu Aliyev. The officials noted that ,although the relations between the two countries had always been positive, the sides should fully turn into account the economic cooperation, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.

The sides referred to the need to appoint a co-chair of the economic inter-governmental commission on behalf of Moldova. Chiril Gaburici and Namig Hasan oglu Aliyev noted that a full agenda would generate an increase of the bilateral economic exchange.

According to His Excellency, the first intergovernmental meeting is to be organised in Baku. In the context, the officials stressed the need to launch a direct air flight linking the capitals of the two states.

"This will also be a factor that will contribute to improving the economic relations between our countries," said Prime Minister Chiril Gaburici.

Namig Hasan oglu Aliyev congratulated Chiril Gaburici on his appointment to the office of prime minister and wished him success. For his part, the prime minister expressed confidence in the existence of a lot of joint and mutually beneficial projects both for Moldova and Azerbaijan.
