Moldovan, European officials approach bilateral cooperation

Chisinau, 6 March /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister Victor Osipov met Head of the Council of Europe Office in Chisinau Jose Luis Herrero, on 5 March, the Bureau for Reintegration has reported.
Herrero congratulated Osipov on investiture as Moldovan deputy premier, wishing him every success in his task on the Transnistrian conflict settlement.
For his part, Osipov highly appreciated the cooperation level between Moldova and Council of Europe, stressing importance of the support offered to the country in democratisaion, consolidation of rule of law, as well as in the effort of country's reintegration.
The sides also approached the current situation in the Transnistrian conflict settlement, as well as issues related to confidence building measures between the two banks of the Dniestre.
The officials voiced confidence that the relations and cooperation between Moldova and Council of Europe would develop in terms of partnership and sustainable cooperation.
