Moldovan, Russian officials tackle bilateral ties

Chisinau, 6 March /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Foreign and European Integration Minister Valeriu Chiveri today met Russian Ambassador to Moldova Farit Mukhametshin, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry's communication and media relations service has reported.

Chiveri underlined that the Moldovan authorities attested continuing more active involvement of Russia in the political processes from Moldova. He drew the Russian diplomat's attention to the inadmissibility of such actions, including Russia's open support for an electoral candidate, overshadowing development of constructive relations between the two states.

The sides also broached the main issues on the bilateral agenda, as well as perspectives of Moldovan-Russian ties in 2015. The officials highlighted importance for developing the active political dialogue, including at interministerial level. At the same time, they stressed the need to boost the Transnistrian conflict settlement.
