Chisinau, 10 March /MOLDPRES/ - Any newly-created enterprise, once registered with the state, will be able to process customs operations without being necessary to also be registered with the Customs Service. This facilitation has been recently discussed with Moldovan business people within the Economic Council of the prime minister, in order to simplify and de-bureaucratise the import-export procedures, the Economic Council of the prime minister has reported.
Prime Minister Chiril Gaburici reiterated the importance to remove the procedure of registration of enterprises as exporters or importers and of the promotion of this initiative by the Finance Ministry and Customs Service.
Customs Service head Tudor Balitchi highlighted that the needed amendments had been initiated to ensure the receipt by the Customs Service of the necessary data from the State Registration Chamber, Fiscal Service and, if necessary, from other state institutions without the involvement of economic agents. Thus, any business people will be able to fill in the customs declaration without being necessary to present documents on its creation.
This procedure will exempt businessmen from the need to register with the Customs Service during the first export/import operation and the service will get all data necessary for keeping records of customs payers via the electronic access to the information systems of the State Fiscal Service and State Registration Chamber, without requesting such data from entrepreneurs. These measures are to be implemented by appropriately amending the normative documents of the Customs Service and modernising the AsycudaWorld Customs Integrated Information System.
In the context, Chiril Gaburici stressed the importance to implement this procedure as soon as possible. At the same time, Gaburici underlined the role of the development partners, by providing technical assistance necessary for modernising the Customs Service’s information system, so that all data provided by the economic agents be stored exclusively in electronic format.
