France reiterates support for implementing reforms in Moldova

Chisinau, 11 March /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Chiril Gaburici today had a meeting with an MP of the French National Assembly, Thierry Mariani. The prime minister thanked the Paris authorities for the ratification of the Moldova-European Union Association Agreement by the French Senate on 3 March, the government's communication and media relations department has reported.
Also, Chiril Gaburici stressed that the main priorities of the Moldovan cabinet were fighting corruption, justice reform and edifying a transparent financing and banking sector. The prime minister emphasised the importance of the Moldovan-French relations. "We appreciate a lot the well-established dialogue and relationships between our countries," Gaburici said.
For his part, Thierry Mariani congratulated Chiril Gaburici on his swearing in the office of prime minister. At the same time, the MP reconfirmed the backing of France for Moldova's European agenda, carrying out the reforms and strengthening the bilateral relations.
Thierry Mariani is a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the French National Assembly and parliamentary rapporteur for the ratification of the Moldova-EU Association Agreement. Starting from 2012, he has been lawmaker in the National Assembly of France for the 11th district of the French who settled abroad. The district has 49 states from the Eastern Europe, Asia and Oceania.
