Chisinau, 12 March /MOLDPRES/ - The heads of the sectoral working groups on bolstering confidence between the two banks of Dniester will hold a joint meeting next week. The decision was announced by the Moldovan and Transnistrian political representatives in the Transnistrian conflict settlement, Victor Osipov and Nina Shtanski, after a today meeting.
“On the occasion of this joint meeting with the working groups heads, we will have a string of topic-related sessions on concrete issues, as we have a lot of problems which cannot be postponed,” Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Victor Osipov said. Osipov added that the first 2015 meeting of the political representatives “is an opportunity to reassess the way the dialogue between Chisinau and Tiraspol has been held so far.” “We are set to give up certain actions which took place and led to complication of the ties between the two negotiating sides,” Osipov said.
The deputy prime minister added that, in the near future, a new round of five-plus-two talks might take place and Prime Minister Chiril Gaburici was likely to meet Transnistrian leader Yevgeny Shevchuk.
Nina Shtanski said the dialogue between Chisinau and Tiraspol was essential, regardless the present problems. Shtanski added that, at present, the most important was to resume the activity of the expert groups.
The last meeting of the Chisinau and Tiraspol political representatives took place in the autumn of 2014.
