Moldovan PM meets OSCE Mission's head

Chisinau, 13 March /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Chiril Gaburici today met Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova Michael Scanlan. The offiicals discussed the perspectives of the Transnistrian conflict settlement process, the government's communication and media relations department has reported.
In the context of the meeting due in Chisinau on 14 March with Tiraspol's leader, Gaburici mentioned the government's goals on the Transnistrian conflict settlement for short and medium term. "We want to generate a positive dynamic in the dialogue with Tiraspol at all levels and maintain stability in the Security Zone", he said. The premier underlined the need to improve the communication process at more levels.
Gaburici touched upon the increase in exports at the enterprises from the left bank of the Dniestre to the EU market. He stressed the need to identify an efficient formula of the Transnistrian region's participation in the Moldova-EU Free Trade Area.
"The Moldovan government's commitment to create a positive dynamic in the Transnistrian settlement process represents a clear signal that the progress can be achieved in this field important for Moldova's future. Another signal is increased attention to integration of the national minorities, which is an essential element for stable and united society", he said.
Gaburici and Scanlan concluded that the dialogue between Chisinau and Tiraspol should be focused on creation of favorable living conditions and activity for the people from both banks of the Dniestre.
